Mintz Levin to sponsor the Technion/Israel Entrepreneurial Forum (IEF) 2008

6/17/2008

Mintz Levin is set to be a prime sponsor of Technion-Israel Entrepreneurial Forum (IEF) 2008—which is put on by the New England Region of the American Technion Society (ATS). ATS is a nonprofit organization established to support the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (TIM) in Haifa, Israel. IEF is charged with bringing together emerging Israeli high-tech companies that have interests in the US and leading high technology professionals in the Boston area.

Twenty-five executives of five Israeli start-up companies will visit Boston during the week of June 15-19 for an international benchmarking trip as part of the “Emerging Technology Companies” program at TIM. The purpose of the trip is to provide participants with practical insight, analysis, and exposure to American business practices. This year’s IEF forum showcases five Israeli companies participating in the Technion Institute of Management Program for Emerging Companies.

The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is the premier scientific and technological center for applied research and education in Israel. It commands a worldwide reputation for its pioneering work in electrical engineering, computer science, biotechnology, water-resource management, materials engineering, aerospace and medicine, among others. Most of Israel’s engineers are Technion graduates, as are many of the founders and mangers of its high-tech companies. And while the IEF is local, its reach and potential impact is international.
