On Friday, November 14, 2008, Richard E. Mikels, the Chairman and Manager of the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Commercial Law Section, is scheduled to speak on a panel at the 88th Annual Fall New York Meeting for the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). The panel, which is entitled "Understanding Receiverships," will explain the ins-and-outs of receiverships, describe procedural and substantive differences between receiverships and other collective proceedings, and explore the benefits and pitfalls for the distressed entity and its creditors.
