11/18/2008 - 11/19/2008
On Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in New York City, Bridget M. Rohde, a member in the Litigation Section, will speak on a panel at the 2nd International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC) forum entitled, "Subprime & Structured Finance Litigation." Along with two other panelists, Ms. Rohde will discuss the topic "eDiscovery Best Practices for Class Action Lawsuits, Government Investigation, and Regulatory Activities."
The recent subprime and financial crisis has caused a shift in the financial industry, which has led to an increase in litigation and investigations. This increase, along with the rise in mergers, acquisitions, and outright collapses of financial organizations, has left many companies with more electronic data to review than ever before. This panel will examine the best practices organizations can use to prepare for eDiscovery requests related to litigation, government investigation, and regulatory activities as they relate to the subprime and financial crisis. Topics such as using automated technologies to analyze, search, and cull voice data and bridging the gap between Legal and IT will be discussed in great depth.
