Jeremy A. Spector to moderate a panel at the American Bar Association Section of Taxation 2009 Midyear Meeting

On Friday, January 9, 2009, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm in New Orleans, Jeremy A. Spector, a member in the firm’s New York office who practices in the Public Finance Section, will moderate a panel at the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Taxation 2009 Midyear Meeting.
As part of this two-day program, panelists will update attendees on the status of current IRS compliance and enforcement initiatives and discuss the new examination initiatives and results of prior initiatives, including governmental tax-exempt bond compliance check letters. In addition, the panel will address the plans for implementation of “fast-track” appeals procedures to tax-exempt bond examinations.
