4/2/2009
On Thursday, April 2, 2009, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm EST, Paul D. Wilson, a member in the Litigation Section, will chair a teleconference on "Hot Topics in Land Use Law 2009," presented by the American Bar Association (ABA).
The program will examine topics that include what's new concerning cell tower sitting, the use of pretextual public purposes to justify takings, and the new law about impact fees and exactions. In addition to chairing this program, Wilson will discuss the ability of town and/or state boards to control obstreperous citizens who appear before them.
Wilson has organized and chaired similar programs at ABA meetings for nearly a decade, but this is the first year that the seminar will be held as a teleconference.
