Jeremy A. Spector to moderate two panels at the American Bar Association's Section of Taxation 2009 May Meeting

On Friday, May 8, 2009, in Washington, D.C., Jeremy A. Spector, a member in the New York office, where he practices in the Public Finance Section, will moderate two panels at the American Bar Association's Section of Taxation 2009 May Meeting.

The first session, which will start at 3:05 pm, is titled "Discussion of Tax Exempt Bond Provisions Relating to Marketability in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009" and will examine this act as it relates to the interpretation and implementation of tax-exempt bond provisions. The second panel, which will start at 4:40 pm, is titled "IRS Compliance and Tax Administration Update" and will discuss the implementation status of the direct-payment option for Build America Bonds, the tax administration issues relating to Build America Bonds and tax credit bonds, and current IRS compliance and enforcement initiatives.
