Mintz Levin to host a program on "Advocacy for Equality and Justice for Ethiopian-Israelis," presented by Tebeka

On Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 12:00 pm, Mintz Levin's Boston office will host a program on "Advocacy for Equality and Justice for Ethiopian-Israelis," presented by Tebeka. This program will feature Itzik Dessie, the first Ethiopian-Israeli attorney admitted to the Israeli Bar Association and the Founder of Tebeka.
Tebeka is a non-profit organization devoted to obtaining social justice and equality for Israel's Ethiopian community. It is also the only organization that exclusively provides comprehensive free legal services for impoverished Ethiopian-Israelis in both Amharic and Hebrew. In addition, Tebeka conducts "impact" litigation aimed at protecting civil rights and promoting social justice and equality not only for the Ethiopian-Israeli community, but also for Israeli society at large.
