Mintz Levin is co-producing with the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) the Software Licensing Best Practices Seminar Series, to be hosted in Mintz Levin's New York office. The seminar series is aimed at software business professionals responsible for business development and negotiating license agreements. Industry experts and Mintz Levin attorneys will provide insights into licensing "best practices" and offer examples and advice that can help companies maximize the value of their products and services.
The series will include four events featuring leading legal and industry experts:

This session will provide an in-depth review of Software Licensing from the business and legal perspectives, with a focus on maximizing revenue. This session will cover volume licensing; ESD; clickwrap; shrinkwrap and selecting the appropriate distribution model - advantages and disadvantages - International sales and distribution issues
? Session 4: Development Trends and the Impact on Licensing | May 5, 2004
The final session of the Software Licensing Best Practices Seminar Series will explore the link between develoment activity and licensing. Topics to be covered include Professional Services Agreements, Open Source issues,and offshore/outsourced development trends
