Commercial Law League of America's New England Region One Day Conference

On Friday, March 26, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Richard E. Mikels, a member in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Commercial Law Section, will speak on "Alternatives to Bankruptcy" at the Commercial Law League of America's New England Region One Day Conference. Topics to be discussed include alternatives to bankruptcy both in the context of work outs and liquidations, and a) the pros and cons of out-of-court work-outs as alternatives to chapter 11 reorganization proceedings, and b) receiverships, trust mortgages, assignments for the benefit of creditors, foreclosures, simply selling off assets and even chapter 11 as alternatives to chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidations.
