On Thursday, May 6, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., Steve Weiner, a member in the Health Law practice, will speak on "Can Medical Tourism Lower Your Healthcare Costs?" for a Lorman Educational Services Teleconference. Topics to be discussed include issues associated with persons traveling abroad for their medical care, and liability and other legal matters in this arena that are faced by the principal actors in the field, including entities that help facilitate care abroad (often referred to as facilitators), employers offering medical travel as a benefit option, and the patients who seek care in foreign destinations.
