Wireless Communications

Mintz Levin represents national, regional, and local wireless providers before the FCC, Congress, state and federal courts, state public utility commissions, and municipal boards. Our clients provide the full array of wireless services, including voice and broadband, business radio, maritime, and fixed services. We also serve as legislative counsel to CTIA-The Wireless Association™, the preeminent wireless trade association, and were closely involved in the development of the federal statutory scheme governing wireless communications. We have also represented CTIA before the FCC and in federal courts.

We handle a wide range of issues for our wireless clients, including:

  • spectrum management and auctions
  • licensing
  • mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions
  • interconnection agreements
  • compliance with regulatory mandates such as “enhanced” 911, universal service, consumer protection, and privacy.

Mintz Levin's wireless practice has evolved along with the wireless industry's growth to include the regulatory, legal, and business implications of new services and technologies such as video, Wi-Fi and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP). Our wireless practice also includes expertise in real estate transactional and land use issues.
