Mintz Levin Ranked Among Top 20 Law Firms in 2007 IPOs, with Nearly $1 Billion in Offerings

Boston, MA - Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. ranked among the top 20 law firms in the United States in 2007 for representing companies and underwriters in initial public offerings, according to IPO Vital Signs, a web-based IPO research and analysis tool. Mintz Levin completed a total of 10 initial public offerings in 2007 across several industries, with an aggregate of nearly $1 billion raised. The firm completed a total of 22 public offerings for the year.
Companies completing IPOs in 2007 for which Mintz Levin served as issuer’s counsel included:
- EnerNOC, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENOC), a demand energy provider, in its $97 million IPO;
- Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (NYSE: NMM), a Greek shipping company, in its $200 million IPO;
- Synta Pharmaceuticals Corp. (Nasdaq: SNTA), a biopharmaceutical company, in its $50 million IPO; and
- Hampden Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: HBNK), a Springfield-based full service community bank, in its $80 million IPO.
On the underwriter side, among other transactions, Mintz Levin represented Lazard Capital Markets LLC as lead underwriter in the $80 million IPO of Ideation Acquisition Corp. (AMEX: IDI), a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) focused on acquiring digital media companies.
