Mintz Levin Advises eScription in its Acquisition by Nuance Communications

Boston, MA - Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. announced that it represented eScription, Inc., a leading computer aided medical transcription company, in its acquisition by Nuance Communications, Inc., a digital imaging software products developer. The deal was valued at approximately $363 million in cash and stock. In connection with the acquisition, Nuance also assumed vested employee options with a value of approximately $37 million. The transaction closed on May 20, 2008.
