Mintz Levin Elevates Four Attorneys to Members of the Firm

Boston, MA – Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. and Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, LLP today announced that the following four attorneys have been elevated to Members of the firm:

Frank Earley - Litigation (New York)
Susan Foster - Corporate (London)
Andrew Matzkin – Employment, Labor and Benefits (Boston)
Pedro Suarez - Intellectual Property (San Diego)

"Frank, Sue, Drew and Pedro are outstanding contributors to their respective practice areas and to the firm as a whole.  They have each earned this milestone in their careers and we congratulate them on their accomplishments," said Andrew R. Urban, Managing Member of Mintz Levin.

Mr. Earley is a member in the Litigation Section in the firm's New York office.  His practice focuses on commercial, corporate and securities litigation matters in federal and state court, as well as before the AAA, JAMS and FINRA.  He has also been involved in a number of litigations involving bankruptcy and intellectual property on behalf of multinational corporations and investment banks.  He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rochester and his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where he was the Managing Editor for the Buffalo Law Review. While at the University of Rochester, he received a Management Certificate in Public Policy Analysis from the Simon School of Business. He was also a student clerk at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York with Judge John J. Ninfo.

Ms. Foster is a member of the Corporate Section in the firm's London office.  She is qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales and is also admitted to practice in California.  Ms. Foster works with clients primarily in licensing, collaborations and commercial matters in the areas of clean tech, high tech, mobile media, and life sciences. She earned an A.B., with highest honors, from Princeton University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, a Ph.D. from Cornell University, and a J.D., with distinction, from Stanford Law School. During law school, Ms. Foster was on the Executive Board for the Stanford Technology Law Review.

Mr. Matzkin practices in the Employment, Labor and Benefits Section. He works in the firm's Boston office.  Mr. Matzkin's work primarily involves litigation and counseling on federal and state labor and employment issues, including discrimination, sexual harassment, leaves of absence, workplace health and safety, employment handbooks and contracts, and collective bargaining agreements. He was awarded his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and received his B.A., cum laude, from Bates College.

Mr. Suarez is a member in Mintz Levin's San Diego and Palo Alto offices, where he practices in the Intellectual Property Section. He focuses on all aspects of patent law, including preparation and prosecution of patent applications, the rendering of opinions on infringement and validity, licensing, due diligence investigations, litigation, and client counseling, with an emphasis on software, telecommunications, wireless communications, semiconductors, medical products, image processing, and business methods.  Mr. Suarez is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He earned his J.D., with honors, from George Washington University.
