New York, NY- Jeremy A. Spector, a Member in the Public Finance Section of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., has been named a member of The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). The Fellows of the ABF is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges and law professors whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession.
Established in 1955, The Fellows encourages and supports the research program of the ABF. Membership in The Fellows is limited to one third of one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by The Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the ABF board. ABF is an independent, nonprofit national research institute committed to objective empirical research on law and legal institutions.

At Mintz Levin, Mr. Spector counsels clients in virtually all areas of public finance tax law and leads the Tax Exempt Bond Controversy Resolution Practice. Outside of his practice, Mr. Spector is Chair of the Tax Exempt Financing Committee established by the Taxation Section of the American Bar Association. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel (ACTC) and the American College of Bond Counsel (ACBC). Fellows of the ACTC are chosen for their high standard of excellence and ethical performance in the practice of tax law and for demonstrating an exceptional degree of professional commitment to their practice. The ACBC recognizes lawyers who have established reputations among their peers for their skill, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of bond law.
Mr. Spector holds a Master of Law degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law, a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Spector graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, cum laude with Honors, from Brandeis University and maintains his accreditation as a Certified Public Accountant.
