Mintz Levin's Energy and Clean Tech Practice Completed 40 Transactions in 2009

Boston, MA - Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., announced that the firm's Energy and Clean Technology Practice Group closed 40 transactions in 2009, completing over half a billion dollars in energy and clean tech deals. Since 2006, the practice group has completed more than 120 transactions, and since 2007, it has closed more than $2 billion in deals.
Representative 2009 transactions include:
- Representing Canaccord Adams, a leading independent financial services firm with a breadth of expertise in the energy efficiency and infrastructure sector, in its closing of a $115 million follow-on public offering of Telvent, Inc., a global IT solutions provider that serves every energy company in the Fortune 100. Mintz Levin also advised Canaccord in its closing of a secondary public offering of Telvent common stock in an overnight bought deal valued at nearly $60 million.
- Representing EnerNOC, a leading provider of clean and intelligent energy solutions, in a $100 million follow-on public offering.
- Representing FloDesign Wind Turbine Corp, a developer of high]efficiency shrouded wind turbines based on the application of mature aerospace technologies, in the closing of its $35 million Series B round of financing.
