Quin Dodd is a member in the Antitrust and Federal Regulation Section in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Formerly the Chief of Staff for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Mr. Dodd practices exclusively in the field of product safety law, representing manufacturers, importers and retailers of consumer products before the CPSC and other agencies on an array of compliance and regulatory matters. A noted expert in the industry, Mr. Dodd has written and spoken widely on the recently enacted Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, landmark new legislation that affects virtually all manufacturers, importers and retailers of consumer products in the United States. He earned his B.A., with distinction, from the University of New Mexico and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Lisa Glahn practices in the Litigation Section and is located in the firm’s Boston office. A member of the firm’s Construction Law Practice Group, she has built an extensive practice in commercial litigation and construction law representing contractors, developers and project owners in both the public and private sector. Ms. Glahn has been instrumental in litigating and resolving several multi-million dollar disputes on public projects in Massachusetts and has developed an expertise in dealing with complex, multi-party claims, disputes involving issues varying from defective work and termination to differing site conditions clauses and pay-if-paid provisions. An active and committed member of the firm’s pro bono program, Ms. Glahn received Mintz Levin’s Pro Bono Award in 2003 for her work on behalf of asylum seekers. She is also a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee and serves on the Professional Development Committee. In 2008 and 2009, Ms. Glahn was recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from Bucknell University and her J.D. from Northeastern School of Law.
Jennifer Karnakis is a member in the Intellectual Property Section in the firm’s Boston office. She represents a variety of clients in the United States and throughout Europe. Her practice involves all aspects of domestic and foreign patent prosecution and portfolio management, primarily in the area of biotechnology, focusing on the fields of biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Her practice also involves developing and implementing worldwide patent strategies for her clients, preparing validity and infringement opinions, conducting freedom-to-operate analyses, and performing due diligence activities. She is also a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee. She received her A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University and her J.D. from Cornell Law School.
Robert Kidwell is a member in the Antitrust and Federal Regulation Section in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice involves counseling on a wide range of federal regulatory issues, including antitrust and unfair/deceptive trade practice issues, particularly in health care, PBM and retail pharmacy markets, and representing communications industry clients in litigation and in regulatory matters before the Federal Communications Commission. Mr. Kidwell has represented clients in complex litigation, including class actions, under both state and federal competition laws, the Communications Act, and the Administrative Procedure Act. He has also helped the firm’s clients avoid litigation by successfully guiding them through the transaction review process before the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission. An active member of the firm’s pro bono program, Mr. Kidwell is also a member of the Entry-Level Hiring Committee and the Central Training Committee. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Kentucky and his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was Project Editor for the American Criminal Law Review.
Benjamin Tymann is a member in the firm’s Litigation Section, specializing in corporate compliance and internal investigations, white collar criminal defense, and real estate and land use disputes. He has been a leading attorney in the firm’s representation of clients facing government inquiries into the “Big Dig” project, and has defended clients against investigations by the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, U.S. Attorney's Office in Massachusetts, Department of Justice Antitrust Division, Securities and Exchange Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, and other state and federal agencies. In his real estate and land use practice, Mr. Tymann has appeared before the Massachusetts Appeals Court or Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court on a dozen zoning and real estate cases in the last several years, where, among other cases, he has successfully defended numerous Chapter 40B affordable housing permits from appellants' challenges. Mr. Tymann has a long history of public service, including various elected and appointed positions in the local government of his home town, and prior to law school, he served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Army, Army National Guard and Reserves. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Lawyers Clearinghouse. He received his B.A. from Boston University and his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, where he was an editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.
