Boston, MA – Stephen M. Weiner, Chair of the Health Law Practice at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC, will be a panelist at the 2010 American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting on June 4-8, 2010 at McCormick Place in Chicago. This year's meeting theme is "Advancing Quality Through Innovation."
Mr. Weiner will participate on a panel with leading cancer researchers, professors and physicians to address conflicts of interest that affect physicians as researchers, educators and clinicians on Monday, June 7, 2010. More than 30,000 cancer specialists from around the world attend ASCO's Annual Meeting to discuss the latest innovations in research, quality, practice and technology in cancer.
Practicing in the firm's Boston office, Mr. Weiner has over 30 years of experience in the health care field as a policy maker, educator, and attorney representing health care services providers in a broad array of legal matters, including strategic positioning, structuring of payer strategies, and clinical integration initiatives. He has also been integral in developing, monitoring, and restructuring relationships between hospitals and physicians, in representing providers in regulatory and reimbursement matters and working on matters specific to academic medical centers.
