Mintz Levin Attorney Bridget K. Moorhead Elected Chair of San Diego County Bar Association's Insurance/Bad Faith Section

San Diego, CABridget K. Moorhead, of counsel in the Litigation Section of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., has been elected to chair the Insurance/Bad Faith Section of the San Diego County Bar Association for 2011. As a Section Chair, Ms. Moorhead will work to educate fellow lawyers and others in the community on substantive areas of insurance/bad faith law while leading discussions on common problems and issues that affect the law.

Ms. Moorhead's practice focuses on insurance law, environmental litigation, and general commercial litigation. She has represented insurers in environmental insurance coverage litigation, asbestos insurance coverage litigation, product liability coverage litigation, construction defect coverage litigation involving additional insured coverage, first-party coverage and bad faith, and life and disability insurance coverage litigation.

Ms. Moorhead is admitted to the California bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California and the Southern District of Texas. She received her B.S. from Point Loma College and her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.

The San Diego County Bar Association is the region's oldest and largest law-related organization. The voice for San Diego's diverse legal community, the SDCBA aims to support and inform the county's lawyers, but also the public and the community. Programs help clients find qualified lawyers, resolve disputes and educate San Diegans on their legal rights and responsibilities.
