Washington, D.C. – ML Strategies is continuing the expansion of its health care practice with the addition of Robert (Bob) Skinner to the firm’s Washington, DC office. ML Strategies is the government affairs and communications affiliate of the law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.,
Mr. Skinner is joining ML Strategies as a Manager of Government Relations and will focus on health care clients. Mr. Skinner worked for Senator Christopher S. (Kit) Bond (R-MO) for three years, and served as the Senator’s Legislative Assistant for health care policy. In this capacity, he handled a range of issues involving the Affordable Care Act, drug safety, and workforce disability. Mr. Skinner also worked with the Senate HELP Committee and third party organizations to advance legislation promoting vision care, Alzheimer’s treatment, and arthritis prevention.
Immediately prior to joining ML Strategies, Mr. Skinner served as an Associate in the healthcare practice of Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm. There he created and implemented strategic communications plans for major health care clients.

In addition to Mr. Leiter, other senior ML Strategies professionals who work on health care and other issues include Tom Koutsoumpas, the former Corporate Vice President of Federal Affairs at UnitedHealth Group, Alex Hecht, the former chief health care and regulatory counsel to Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME), and Jeremy Rabinovitz, who served as Chief of Staff to four Democratic members of the U.S. House.
Skinner received his B.A. in Political Science from Gettysburg College.
