Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. successfully defended the former independent directors of eXegenics, a Dallas-based biotechnology company, in a combined class action and derivative case filed in the Delaware Chancery Court. Following oral arguments, the Chancellor dismissed with prejudice all counts of a purported class and derivative action brought personally by Melvyn Weiss, a company shareholder.
