Mintz Levin Represents Torex Retail in its Acquisition of Retail Store Systems, Inc.

Boston, MA - Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC announced that it served as counsel to Torex Retail Plc, the leading supplier of retail management systems to major European retailers, in its acquisition of Providence, RI-based Retail Store Systems, Inc. (RSS), a leading supplier of retail management systems to large and medium US retailers.

Torex Retail has a market capitalization of approximately £140 million with customers in more than fifteen countries.  It is Europe's leading independent retail systems solutions provider, and services some of the largest retailers in both the UK and mainland Europe.   Its customers account for more than 45% of all retail sales in the UK. The Torex solution set spans all facets of the retail systems business, from leading edge electronic point of sale software, to back office software, to sophisticated performance and productivity systems, to loss prevention and basket analysis solutions.
