Federal Regulation Section and Mintz Levin attorneys represent a wide range of trade associations. These associations include some of the largest in the United States.
Association legal and professional services include incorporation, formation, governance, obtaining state and federal nonprofit status, drafting bylaws and developing and implementing sound antitrust practices. We do a variety of corporate legal work of special importance in the association community such as hotel, convention center, speaker, telecommunications and vendor contracting.
In assisting associations to carry out their missions to their members, Mintz Levin attorneys, in conjunction with our consulting arm ML Strategies, engage in a wide variety of federal, international, state and local regulatory legislative and litigation. In some cases we serve as the government relations as well as legal arms of our associations and in other cases we provide additional regulatory legislative and legal representation. These activities range from representing the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers in international and European environmental and energy activities to lobbying Congress on behalf of the drug industry and the cable industry. We have extensive experience representing associations in state legislative and regulatory forums.
