Buy-Side Representation
Mintz Levin has one of the nation's preeminent practices in representing the "buy-side" of the municipal market, including bondholders, bond trustees and bond insurers. Our clients are among the largest institutional investors in tax-exempt securities, such as mutual funds, insurance companies and asset managers. The Public Finance Section, in combination with attorneys in our other sections, also assists such clients in the restructuring and resolution of distressed financings and, if necessary, in pursuing litigation, foreclosure, and other capital recovery efforts related to defaulted bond issues. Mintz Levin's work in this area also includes serving as counsel to the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA) on special projects, and to the Fixed Income Committee of the Investment Company Institute.
