SEC issued a Supplement to it proposed rule of June 14, 2002 dealing with certification of a public company's quarterly and annual reports. The Supplement was issued in order to alert the public to the differences between the officer certification rule proposed by the SEC on June 14, 2002 and the requirements of Section 302 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. This advisory contains a comprehensive comparison chart reflecting specific differences between the proposed rule and Section 302 of the Act.
