On Thursday, February 12, 2009, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Mintz Levin presented a webinar on "Acquisitions in a Distressed Environment." This hour-long discussion featured a panel of Mintz Levin Bankruptcy and Corporate attorneys. Together, they discussed the specific provisions of the Bankruptcy Code that are relevant in a distressed acquisition, including those which involve licenses.
Daniel S. Bleck, a member in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Commercial Law Section, chaired the panel. Stuart Hirshfield, also a member in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Commercial Law Section, and Joel I. Papernik, a member in the Corporate practice and co-chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice, sat on the panel and responded to questions.
