Antitrust and Federal Regulation Alert: Federal Trade Commission Announces Increased Hart-Scott-Rodino Thresholds

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has once again increased the jurisdictional thresholds for premerger notification filings under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended (the HSR Act or Act), after decreasing them for the first time in 2010. The increased thresholds will result in fewer reportable transactions under the HSR Act.
