Employment, Labor & Benefits Alert: Social Network Warning – Employers Should Use Caution in Disciplining Employees for On-line Statements

When related to the workplace, statements made on Facebook and other social media are of obvious interest to employers. But there are risks to employers who discipline employees for posting statements relating to workplace conditions. An administrative law judge recently held that a New York nonprofit organization unlawfully terminated five employees for Facebook comments.
